KOCO-DT

KOCO-DT has filed for another extension. Looks like they want at least six more months.

I saw it this morning. I was going to put it on the site tonight but thanks to pf for beating me to it. I will update the FCC App Status page tonight.

It doesn’t look good. Looks like they are they are going to use their own tower.

When is the FCC going to start fining or confiscating the bandwidth of these greedy, indifferent corporations?

    Does anyone have a violin?
What a joke. Why does it seem like I live in Oklahoma – That’s right, I do. They act like they just found out about DTV a couple months ago.
    This is getting old.

    Looking on the bright side:

States, to date, without DTV: Alaska, Nebraska, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming

You forgot to mention Afghanistan, Somalia, Ethiopia, and many other third world countries. Personally, I would like to feel like I live in mainstream America. Even Arkansas has ABC affiliates that are DTV.

And why did KOCO need to change to channel 7? And why does KWTV need to change from 39? One of their engineers told me it was because KAUT switched to 40 and it will interfere. But I notice that in Tulsa, KOTV and KJRH are right next to each other at 55 and 56. Why doesn’t it interfere there?

Also, I did not see any mention of HDTV in KOCO’s statement, only DTV. Does anyone know if the equipment they are buying will transmit the full HD signal?
