I watched Law and Order last night. You might try entering 27-1 into your receiver.

I’m having the same problem today and last night. The 04 channels disappeared when I selected them. Just now I added 27 and while it shows strong signal strength I don’t get anything on the channel. No problems with the other digital stations that are broadcasting right now…

I am having problems with KFOR this week on two different HDTV recievers:
    1. RCA F38310 HDTV has no KFOR-DT picture but has a signal strength of 80 to 93. The signal shows up on digital 4-1. Other times the picture will be there with the same strong signal.

    2. Samsung 160 receiver moves channel 4-1 and 4-2 from the favorite receive list to the block channel list. Each time I turn on the receiver I have to over ride the list to pick up 4-1 and 4-2. I then go to the menu and move the channels from the block list to the recive list and this works until I turn the receiver off. This started about three weeks back. When moving the channels the Samsung reciver tell me to lock the system which I do but next time I turn on the reciver the same thing happens. I have no problems with any other channels.
I can always acquire channel 4-1 on the Samsung even when the RCA set has no picture but has a strong signal.

The problem you’re having with your RCA HDTV is the exact same problem I’m having with my Dish 6000. Strong signal, but no picture and it really freaks out my Dish 6000. The only difference is that it maps out to channel 27 rather than channel 4.

I had a meter reading of 80 both last night and this evening but received no picture or sound as well.

I did notice that it took a little longer to get a picture once I tuned KFOR-DT’s digital channel.

I am still getting "no signal" on my SONY SAT-200. It does not have a sgnal strength meter so I can’t tell if I am getting anything at all. I made sure it was looking for 27.1 but still no luck.

They’ve got something strange happening with their bit stream that messes up certain set top boxes. If they spent a little time reading this site, they’d know that a lot fewer people can watch their programming and they’re basically wasting money on electricity.

does anyone know someone at KFOR that they could forward this too?

    Already did.

KFOR is in the process of completely replacing the PSIP equipment. This is requiring some rather extensive hardware, firmware and software upgrades and replacements. Tthe virtual channels 4.1 and 4.2 are not working at this time.

Use 27-1 or 27-2 to tune into KFOR-DT.
