New Cox HD channel?

I was looking at the program guide this morning and saw channel 735 listed as “test,” maybe a test for INHD 1 & 2 or someyhing else. Thought I would pass on the knowledge.

Is this in OKC or TULSA. If it is okc I would almost be suspect to believe that it might be CinemaxHD. Just based on the number scheme that Cox uses, I would be very happy for either one. I would actually be that happiest if it were StarzHD, but I really really doubt it since they said that no system would have them till december. The most obvious answer would be InHD, but like I said it doesn’t seem to fit their numbering M.O.

Dont see any testing going on up here in Tulsa. Wouldnt need to test for INHD or INHD2 here ither because we already have both of those channels.

Sorry, this is for OKC. StarzHD would be the best, besides CBS, but I seriouly doubt it as well. I remember getting "extra" channel #’s right before we gor ESPN & discovery, we had the channel allotments for a week before we got any official word.

I imagine CBS will be channel 706 when it comes online, which should hopefully be this month.

Thanks for the heads up on Cox OKC Channel 735. I put it into Favorite Channels so I can catch it when it becomes active. I called and of course the friendly CSR had no ideal what it is going to be but suggested it is most likely one of the INHD channels.

    So, it could be:
    1. reserved for KWTV DTV
    2. reserved for Cinemax HD
    3. reserved for TMC HD
    4. reserved for INHD 1

I find the ideal of KWTV DTV going live via Cox cable before they are ready to go OTA an interesting possibility;however, I am not ready to put my money where my mouth is on this deal.

Since it is only one channel (735), I strongly believe that it would be another premium network HD channel, i.e. Cinemax, TMC, Starz.

You guys are forgetting PBS which a Cox rep informed me was the next channel to reach the HD lineup.

I don’t think that they would place KETA that far away from the other local channels. Doesn’t make since to me. My bet is still that the channel allotment is for a single Premium channel. Time will only tell, plus how accurate are the CSRs anyways.

Hey HiDef, how long would they test before putting up an actual channel?

I recently had HD installed in my home with the SA 3250HD STB. Part of the install kit included a flyer advertising iNHD and iNHD2 (channels 730 and 731 respectively). These two new HD channels are scheduled to go live on December 17th, 2003. I believe these channels are free (I can’t find anywhere where they are quoting prices for them). They are 24 X 7 all HD content and supposed to be commercial free.

so far, the "iN" logo has been for iNdemand PPV…free to the extent that you don’t pay up front for the channel, just for each movie you watch. Hopefully they won’t limit the resolution to 480p on Component since my TV doesn’t have a DVI.

    PIGard out.
