Directv users, someone at one or another had a problem with directv and called in and asked to speak with a different dept. other than customer service that you would normally speak with. What dept. did you ask for a dispute of programming.

If you are a long time good customer and have a legitimate complaint, they will transfer you to CUSTOMER RETENSION. I have had the best results being very meek using the old "I hate to complain, because you have been a great service, but I fear I must leave DirecTv because ……" .
Ive had mixed results with them when I need help with a problem. My 7 or so years as a customer seems to mean very little to the people I usually have spoken to. At one point I called in to tell them I needed to shut off my service for a while until I got a job and they didnt offer me a damn thing other than, "ok".
Meanwhile I have known others who were customers for far shorter of a time who got offered free service, basic service, discounts, new equipment etc to keep the service going.
Aside from that, I have been pleased with the quality of picture and selection of channels and have had no intention of leaving them or shutting off the service long term.
well I called them and worked out my issues I had with them and they even are coming out to my house sat and hook up tivo for free. So I think I came out pretty good.
