OETA Master Control

It’s been years now that we’ve been hearing stories about OETA’s Master Control project. What is the status of this? I had read stories here and on other websites last summer that said it was to be completed in the Fall and have heard nothing since then.

I was wondering that myself. They still multicast about 4 days a week and sign off about 10pm every night just like last year so, what is the status of the OETA master control room that is supposed to bring PBS to Cox cable in HD?

  2. anonymous responds:

I had a tour of the Digital facility and I
can guarantee that there is NO ONE in this
market that would even hold a candle to
what these techs have done. They have done
it right. All new equipment, some 20 plus
7′ racks of it and enough cables to run to
the moon and back+. Plenty of monitoring
sources to keep it right. No short cuts. I
can see why it has taken a long time. They
built a complete Digital Station. I could
go on for days for these guys. Will not be
up tomorrow but checking and training their
people. And, you will be very happy with
what is planned for Cox Cable. Super, super.

    Yeah Right! Blow Hards!

  4. anonymous responds:

It’s nice to see people being so positive on this board…

  5. anonymous responds:

Thanks for the report. I for one appreciate it and can’t understand why people get so angry over tv.
