Letter to KETA…

This is a copy of the letter I sent to KETA this morning about their digital broadcasting…

______________________________________________________________
Dear KETA broadcaster,

I am writing this letter to you out of frustration with your Digital/HD broadcasting. For quite some time now viewers have had the following questions about your station and to my knowledge none of them have been answered or even acknowledged.

1. When will we be able to get an accurate program guide that
correctly displays what will be on?

2. When will KETA stop turning their transmitter of at midnight?

3. When will KETA begin broadcasting Dolby Digital 5.1 sound as part
their signal?

I would like to express my appreciation for the fine programming that is provided which rivals programming from National Geographic and Discovery Television but the preceding issues definitely detract from the overall presentation and satisfaction of your station.

Thank You,
_______________________________________________________________

If I receive a response from KETA I will post it as a followup to this thread.

-Bob-

One Response to “Letter to KETA…”

  1. ultimate responds:

When a show is encoded with DD 5.1 audio, they pass through the audio, at least in Oklahoma City. So, when you are not getting DD 5.1 audio, it just means that PBS didn’t provide it. PBS’s guidelines for content producers only require that PCM audio be provided.

    Dennis
