Poll Question

What does everyone think about adding a Breakroom section to this site for general Chit Chat or off topic discussions?

What about a Non HD realated Tv Section?

What about a section to discuss TV Shows? Soaps,Old Tv Shows Etc….

What about a section devoted to C-band and 4 DTV Receivers and FTA receivers?

Speak Up don’t be afraid let your opinions be known Hear Hear…. I am wanting real serious input on these questions I posed so please post your comments.

  6. anonymous responds:

Search the web and chat rooms and you will find what you are looking for. The silence of replies speaks very loudly that your suggestions are unwanted on this website.

  7. BobbyC responds:

I don’t think so and i am hopeing to change that opinon. This site needs to be livened up and more active with broader topics the topics run stale and there are long periods of time between topic postings, and there is more to tv in Oklahoma than HDTV….

  8. Hamflyer responds:

Bobby, do you own a C-band receiver? I have wanted to see how they work. I live in rural Pottawatomie County where there is no cable. I have considered getting a C-band receiver.

Although I responsed to your topic, I think the purpose of this site is to discuss HDTV related issues. It may be that the host wants to restrict the discussion to HDTV alone.

  9. ultimate responds:

Once I get the site updated, we’ll explore expanding options. Right now, I’m focused on earning a living… :-)

Feel free to talk amongst yourselves…

    Dennis

  10. BobbyC responds:

No Problem there, Thanks Dennis I understand making a living comes before other avenues like this site.

  11. BobbyC responds:

If you are indeed interested in finding out more about C Band and all it has to offer i would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have on the subject so feel free to ask and I will give you the best answer i can or i will find out an answer for you I have had a big dish for several years and am quite knowledgeable about them and i also know a good local installer i can give you his # if you are interested in getting further into C Band. As far as the site owner i don’t believe he would mind us talking about this subject on here if he does he can let us know. Thanks…

Does your guardian know you’re posting on the Internet without supervision again?

  13. WestMoore responds:

    Ban BobbyC

  14. BobbyC responds:

I am not going to stoop to your level so i am ignoring any and all comments from you. Oh and on a side note I hope the severe weather tonight ruins the HD picture for you and they broadcast the channel your on in SD. Gentlemen

  15. BobbyC responds:

MDEATHRAGE you have nothing constructive to say BTW, but to constantly badmouth me and bash on my posts about logical things and ideas.

  16. BobbyC responds:

    Nope

  17. ralfy responds:

Which part of the site’s name HDTV OKLAHOMA do you NOT understand?

  18. HiDefSooner responds:

This site is about HD. HD Cband is not around very much these days.

  19. BobbyC responds:

Why can’t we discuss other things besides HDTV on this site Ralfy boy??

  20. BobbyC responds:

The Hell it aint, C Band is alive and well and you also get more HD programming on C Band then any other source and they are first generation signals also unlike broadcast HD or Cable or overcompressed Pizza Pan Dish signals. If more people would purchase c band systems and 4 dtv receivers then the numbers would go up instead of being down, more people need to drop Diwreck TV and Charlie & Co and invest in a C Band system with 4 DTV and an HDD 200 HD decoder.

  21. cpcmge0 responds:

Bobby, here is why, a mission statement from the folks nice enough to own and operate this site!

    "Welcome To HDTVOK.com
HDTVOK.com was created to enlighten Oklahomans about the possibilities of HDTV in our state. Oklahoma TV stations have recently begun their first DTV broadcasts for public consumption. If they build it, we will watch.

To that end, we’ll provide free advertising and web space to any electronics dealer with an Oklahoma retail store selling HDTV products, restaurant or bar that shows HDTV programming, or any TV station or network that has DTV programming that can be received by Oklahomans.

    Thank you!

Dennis Whiteman — FastPipe Media, Inc. "

  22. JohnFloy responds:

I agree…whoever runs this site needs to kick this guy to the curb!!

And I would pay to see that in HD as well!!!
