HDNet’s Rescheduled Exclusive HDTV Coverage of Discovery Launch Begins At 11:00 AM EDT July 2nd
What: HDNet’s coverage of the liftoff of NASA’s Space Shuttle Discovery, STS-121 will resume on Sunday, July 2nd at 11:00am ET with liftoff set for 3:26pm EDT. HDNet will be the only television network to bring viewers the launch coverage in stunning high-definition television.
When: Live, uninterrupted coverage begins at 11:00am EDT on July 2nd, and continues through the 3:26pm EDT liftoff.
Utilizing up to 14 cameras positioned throughout the Kennedy Space Center, HDNet’s extensive live coverage includes behind-the-scenes access to the astronauts as they suit up and board the shuttle, complete with their pre-launch routine inside the crew module. Then viewers will witness the countdown, launch, and follow the shuttle as it reaches far into the earth’s atmosphere.
