OETA Listings Now Correct on TitanTV.com

I was programming my EyeTV 500 today to record stuff for the next week when I noticed that TitanTV.com now has correct listings for OETA, which broadcasts the PBS HD channel on all of its digital stations around the state.

Even better, the PBS programming schedule for OETA now correctly shows a channel called OETA-HD with PBS HD programming so I no longer have to pretend to live in Amarillo to get the correct guide.

Previously, when there was a schedule at all, it had listings for the SD channel showing up on 13-1, which meant, for example, if you set your HD-TiVo to record OETA, you were most likely going to end up recording the wrong show.

OETA also has a newer, more functional, more modern looking web site

I emailed OETA the other day asking them when they would be on Cox cable in Tulsa in HD. The response said they will be on 711 in Tulsa as of August 15. Finally!

  2. Bobarino responds:

This is excellent news. I am so tired of missing good shows on OETA or discovering the show is on half way through because the guide is wrong!

Now, if we can just get the DirecTV guide updated everything
    would be perfect!

  3. ggore responds:

Good job on their website, well designed. Now is there any news on their years-long Master Control project, so that we don’t have to watch the same 16 shows all the time on their HD channel?

  4. Dennis Whiteman responds:

I would think that having the correct schedules at TitanTV.com and PBS would mean that the DirecTV guide would also be correct fairly quickly.

I stumbled on this change by accident because Friday’s schedule still showed the analog programs, but Saturday had the HD schedule. Dish, OTOH, uses the analog program guide so they might never have the correct schedule with their DVR.

  5. doublej responds:

My directv guide is now correct on my HTL but dish is still wrong on my 622.

Wonder if/when windows MCE will get an update. This is awesome news tho!
