CW HD is now here in OKC

Thought I’d let everyone know that the CW is now being broadcast in HD on certain programs this year, but will only be in Dolby 2.0 for now….network decision.

If you notice any problems, let us know.  Enjoy the new CW!!

Thanks,

    Steve,

My receiver is still getting KOCB on 33-1 and The Tube on 33-2. Is there a problem with the PSIP information for this channel? All of the other channels are remapped to the analog channel numbers. I still receive the signal OK, but it takes about 10 seconds for my Samsung OTA to lock on the signal, KOKH only takes 1 second.

    Just wondering.

The same thing happens when I try to tune into KOCB, it takes quite a while for the channel to display, much longer than any of the rest.

The database crashed on the PSIP generator, so we had to rebuild everything. I’ll check into it today..thanks

Hey Fox25eng: Any word when your HD will start to be carried on Dish or Directv?

Us peoples in the OKC DMA 150 miles from the transmitting towers are waiting.

Dish and Direct TV haven’t made it to the OKC market yet, so I can’t help you on that one.

Us peoples in the OKC DMA 10 miles west/southwest of KOCO would like to get it at some point as well, but that ain’t gonna happen til ’09 I guess. At least for off-air. :(

Gald to see it’s just not me getting the 33-1 problem. Odd thing is some TV’s are getting it correct. I don’t get it.

Any chance for more resolution and better sound on Tube TV? I haven’t seen any sponsers yet, but I like a lot of the stuff on there.

The tube network is working on that, but alot of the older video’s are 7 some odd generations ago, so the quality suffers when you go from film to 2″ machine to 1″ machine to 3/4 etc.

As to the PSIP problem, we hope that this is now resolved.
