My program guide (OKC area) shows it’s on channel 720 “COXHD”.

DirecTV MIGHT carry it on channel 95. I have seen some HD broadcasts from Fox regionals on that channel before.
DishTV will only carry the SD feed on channel 416.

I’m with you, Servicetech, but at least it’s not going to be on broadcast TV (cough-KOCO-cough) that more than half the state can’t receive!

I don’t think I should need to have a $80 cable bill in order to watch one of the most televised events in Oklahoma. The Superbowl MIGHT have more OK viewers. Then again KOCO isn’t known for making financially wise moves. Who did they put in place of the bedlem game? Did they REALLY think they would have a larger viewing audience?

C’mon, people, get the facts right. ABC and Fox both have Big 12 football contracts, and Fox exercised an option back in February to move the game from its original date of September 30 to November 25 so that FSN could televise it. They set the date and the kickoff time nine months ago when they picked up the game in advance.

Channel 5 has its issues with Cox, but ABC never had the rights to this game, and Channel 5 had no option to broadcast it instead of golf or whatever. Those of you asking why KOCO didn’t “switch” to the game need to remember that neither KOCO nor ABC owns FOX Sports Network (FSN) and has no right to broadcast their programming.

Let’s at least keep the thing reality based, shall we?

It’s just economics, Fox paid big bucks for the rights to the game and that cost gets passed along to the cable system and then the customers. Fox Sports is the second most expensive cable channel after ESPN. Approximately $4.50 of your cable bill goes to pay the cable system’s cost for those two channels.

Thanks for the enlightenment on the game situation. Perhaps it’s FOX to blame for not putting the game OTA via KOKH. Or is there some other contract that prevents FOX from rebroadcasting the game OTA?

I would imagine that the contract that they had with Big 10 said that it would only be on Fox Sports. OTA would mean that they would have to renegotiate the contract, even if it was only for 2 stations.
