JV:
I have a very recent model Mitsubishi DLP TV plugging in to a Sony home theater receiver. Using the OTA tuner with 90% or better signal strength on all channels, I get sound dropouts on KOCO when using the coaxial digital output for sound. No other channel has this issue exhibits this problem. The picture never drops out but the sound drops out in quick groups of 4.
Has anyone ever seen this or know how to fix?

I am sensing that Mitsubishi has some problems with their tuners. Several of my cable customers have sets that list ClearQAM capabilities in their tuners, yet they refuse to display any of our QAM channels (locals, ESPN, Food, etc). The set sees the channels when you go into the deep setup menus, but will not display them for some reason.
I have the exact same problem with KOCO. I’m using a new Mitsubishi DLP into a Denon AVR. The TV’s internal speaks and the L/R stereo optputs are fine, it’s just the coxial digital output that has drop outs…and only on KOCO (for that reason I question that it’s a tuner problem), I’ve e-mailed the station and gotten no response (like I should be surprised!). Any thoughts anyone?
