OK….wife and I finally ditched COX…….after years of being their customer, ATT UVERSE has come to town. We are now able to get out from the COX monopoly they have enjoyed for quite some time. I hope ATT can really give ‘em a run for their money. We had the Uverse installed almost 3 weeks ago. We were reluctant, seeing as how CFB is right around the corner. I’m still a little peeved about the Hearst-Argyle / COX fiasco last year that forced me to watch the OU / TX in SD grrrr………well, the uverse is great. Each day, we learn a little bit more about it. We are still getting used to the shows as far as what channels they’re on. The PQ is fantastic……….and the HD selection is a reality, not a carrot on a stick like COX always seems to promise. The install was a little lengthy……..but so far, we love it, and the fact we now have more of a choice of a provider without signing a contract is a great mental boost. I definitely look forward to the upcoming games this football season in HD………
I went to the store on Broadway extension and I thought the picture they were displaying was verrry soft in HD.
I got u-verse a month ago over here in Midwest City. Smokes cox as far as the value. I wound up spending $50 bucks less a month for better service. Only complaint I have so far is you can only record 2 HD broadcast at once. The advertisement at&t and shows 4 but thats only for SD. So that was a bummer to find out. Also channel 4’s HD channel 1004 looks really compressed at times but the other channels looks great. Internet access is smoking. Buts a major upgrade from Cox, especially the dvr and the program guide, much much better.
