A&E HD and History HD are down; History HD coming to Cox

A Cox Employee writes:

A&E has informed us that they had a fire at their uplink facility. A&E HD and History HD are down right now nationally. They are working to correct, but do not have a definitive time to correct.

In other news, Cox will add History HD in both OKC and Tulsa on September 24th.

Plus NFL HD are down on dish network HD

  2. doublej responds:

They are all 3 uplinked from the same facility and company

  3. ggore responds:

As of 2PM Tuesday, A&EHD and HistoryHD are back up on the satellite. This was the first time I’d gotten to take a look at History. They were doing 9/11 programming all day, nothing was in actual HD. It looked like a simulcast of the regular History feed, no HD logo bug in the corner of the screen.

  4. doublej responds:

They are simulcasting both A&E and History at the moment, no HD available. Hope this doesn’t last long.

  5. zenithtv responds:

Full HD Sat thanks dish network and the uplinked Facility!

  6. ggore responds:

No true HD yet on History, they are still working on the uplink facility. Just stretched SD programming, but at least they are now stretching the entire picture vertically and horizontally instead of the dreadful-looking horizontally stretched picture of a couple days ago.
