Wow. I guess those commercials are right…

Oh cool I got FSN in HD now. Finally! I got sick of going to channel 95 to watch FSN. Also the pay per view HD channels were desperately needed. No reason to have just 1 single ppv hd channel.
Whats so great about this expansion is that it really forces the other competitor’s hand in adding more HD content. A good is example is that tha SciFi channel has NO content that’s shot or broadcast in HD, it’s all upconverted. But at least when they do start shooting in HD Directv will be ready for it.. The only problem is NFL sunday ticket is more than my mortgage.
And as of 10/17, DirecTV has added FSN Pittsbutgh and FSN Midwest, which is available in both OKC and Tulsa with the Sports Pack or Premier package.
Sorry but several scifi shows are shot in HD. Both Stargate series, Flash Gordon, Battlestar Galactica, and Eureka are all shot in HD. Stargate SG-1 was shot in HD from the very beginning when it orginally started out on Showtime. These shows are the main reason I have a subscription with a Canadian Satellite service as these shows have been showing in HD in Canada for the past 2 seasons. From the reports I have heard these shows are showing in HD on the SCIFI HD channel on Directv in mpeg4 now.
You Think!
Flash Gorden should have been in HD; they had run it on Universal HD befor they started their own channel. I wish DISH had not dropped the ball these are some good channels I would like to watch.
