KETA Question

Gerald writes:

Is there any one who could never pick up over the air channel 30-1 now discover that they could? This was a subject covered long time ago when only a few seem to be able to pick up the digital channel. I lost digital 13-1 the other day and had to run the channel search to reload it and there was digital 30-1 with a signal reading of 82.

I know this is an old subject. I have no idea when the signal strength was increased. It has been a long time since I even tried.

Are you talking about KETA? It is actually on channel 32-1 instead of 30-1.

  2. trueview responds:

no, I lost 13 digital so I reran the channel search and discovered I could now get 30-1 carrying spanish programing. I think they use 29 for digital but I could not get the analog signal all that well and the digital not at all when several were talking about where the tower actually was located and who all could pick it up and I recall that not many were picking it up either. The signal was 82 when I discovered that I could not get it. Maybe they relocated the tower??? Mine is pointed at an angle away from Norman area; and the antenna is relatively small compared to what most of you are using. My mentioning 13-1 caused a misunderstanding I think. I have not had any trouble getting KETA but once in a while the set goes off while changing channels and dumps something; otherwise I may not have discovered that I can now pick up KTUZ DT.

  3. trueview responds:

There is a typo above: “. ..when I discovered I could not get it.” should read “I could now get it.”

  4. Bobarino responds:

30-1 is KTUZ. I can lock it in fine sometimes and other times it is not so stable here in Moore.

  5. trueview responds:

Inspite of the 82 reading the signal does break up creating odd jumps in the picture.
    Thanks
