The HD DVD Strikes Back

HD-DVD strikes back from the post Warner Blu-Ray Exclusive announcement with discounts starting with the HD-A3 MSRP that has dropped to $149.99.  This is the entry level HD-DVD box, it will not do 1080p but for $150 it is not a bad price.

Amazon is also running an up to 50 % sale on their HD-DVD and Blu-Ray content.

If HD DVD had hit the ground running ~ less expensive players and a wide range of disc at no more than 19$ they could have left blu so far behind it would have matter but as it is acheap player and few titles than blu seems like too little too late. I prefer HD DVD tho.
