Cox Cable Box?

I have a HD ready TV and at the current time I have an Digital HD receiver that I have hooked to a antenna so that we can receive all the local channels in digital and also all the local channels that broadcast in HD. What I want to know is can I just hook my cox cable to the receiver and then receive the cable HD channels or does cox have to do something. Why should I have to rent a receiver from cox when I already have one? Also, does cox offer the multicasting on the local channels?

    Depends on whether your receiver has a ClearQAM tuner. If it does, then you will receive the local channels in digital and HD. To get other channels like Discovery HD or ESPN HD, you will need a cable box or a TV with CableCard.
