Fox 23 in Tulsa

Shelly writes:

What’s the deal with FOX 23 in Tulsa? I have a Samsung FREE OTA receiver for HDTV, hooked up to a JVC HD TV which has my old huge antenna in the attic hooked up to the Samsung OTA set top box. I am using the same HDMI cable. I’ve had it since May. I was getting Fox 23 just fine & now it has been going on & off for weeks, keeps saying weak or no signal. now I can’t get it at all. I live at 17th & Memorial which is close to the TV station. They are at about 26th & Memorial. I see on your site it shows channel 22 for FOX in Tulsa. Did they change the number? I’ve always had them on channel 23. What is going on with the station? I get all the others 2.1, 2.2, 6.1, 6.2, 8, 11, 41 etc. just fine. But Fox is not coming in at all. I am not on cable, only have my C-band dish also hooked up to this tv for all my HBO, Starz, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am not far from you and have not noticed any problems. You might try deleting all your channels and rescanning fresh in case they have made some changes to their signal that your receiver is having problems with. It may be multipath from all the tree limbs that are down and hanging. I would check all your connectors and try adjusting your antenna slightly one way or the other. It is nice to hear of someone else still using C-Band. I had to take my 71/2 footer down to fix a small golf ball size hole from a limb the week before the ice storm, I might have lost the whole dish otherwise.

I believe the signal for fox is broadcast from the towers just east of town along the muskogee turnpike. Properly aiming you antenna toward the towers should work .. I live in the bixby area and that is where I aim my antenna and my dish reciever pegs at 100.
