Warren Opens New Digital Theater in Moore
I am sure all of you have seen the new theater in Moore. I went this weekend and saw Horton Hears a Who with my daughter. It was a pretty good movie but the treat was the picture quality. Every theater has a Christie 3-chip 2K DLP projector so the picture quality was outstanding. The sound was very good as well. I used to go to Harkins but this is now by far my favorite movie theater. I am going to go this weekend again.
Has anyone else gone to the new theater?

I attended on Friday night (opening day) and stayed for two films and dinner because the theater is so spectacular. Sitting in the center of auditorium 9 (Horton) for the 6:50 show, I noticed a slightly brighter area in the center of the screen with a gray water spotted look in the bright spot. This only occurred when bright solid plain non moving light was in that area of the screen. I mentioned it to management and they gave me a re-admit ticket. After eating in the Oscar’s restaurant upstairs, I watched the 9:50 PM Nim’s Island in the large auditorium 7. The screen is so large in row 8 that the experience is overwhelming. The bright spot was only about 20% as noticeable compared with auditorium 9. I concluded that high gain screens were causing this small imperfection.
Is the image ruined by the brighter area? Not when the entire screen is in perfect focus, evenly bright to the corners. The clear digital image is so perfect, that any imperfection in the screen would be noticeable.
The sound, leg room and seat comfort is perfect. Carpet is under foot while watching the film! I asked the clean up crew about the carpet. They mentioned that a drink can be spilled and easily removed with a towel. The carpet will not become sticky!
Pictures do not do justice to this theater complex. You can spend an extra dollar and buy your ticket online. There is plenty of parking, so go and enjoy!
Ticket sales occur outside and inside. Feel free to skip the outside line and enjoy the interior ticket area. You need not purchase a ticket to get food and drink, tickets are taken after the food area. Only persons 21 and older may enjoy the upstairs bar, restaurant and balcony.
I have two problems with the Warren Theater.
1. The choice of movies in the big Theater. Why did they pick Forgetting Sarah Marshal over Forbidden Kingdom?
2. They have a “No water Balloons” policy in the balcony. Where is the fun in that?
