You wrote that, in Stillwater, you "can even pick up the digital signals from kjrh and kotv from tulsa(With a top of line indoor antenna at that) but . . . ."

What indoor antenna are you using? Make and model, please?

Also, have you tried pointing that indoor antenna toward OKC and, if so, did it pick up the OKC stations well (other than KOCO, of course)?

I can get KOCO on my bedroom HDTV using a large VHF/UHF antenna that's inside the attic of my 2-story home in southwest Stillwater. It is the weakest of all the digital stations (my Samsung has a "signal strength" feature) but the signal I can get is apparently just enough most of the time.

However, my parents, who live a couple of miles south of Cushing generally cannot get KOCO using a VHF/UHF antenna that is mounted on a pole OUTDOORS. They have a Samsung that I bought for them last football season. Granted, that outdoor antenna is old and missing more than a couple of elements, but the other digital stations come in just fine using it. Using the Samsung's signal strength indicator, it's abundantly clear that KOCO is the weakest signal they get (same as at my house in Stillwater). I guess I'm going to have to get them another antenna, too . . . .

eander2--- I don't agree. Digital is like the difference between black and white and color. It is incredible. AND I live in far South East Norman and get KOCO perfect ALL the time.

I can't help notice that other stations in the OKC metro are broadcasting at >100 KW. I can't receive KOCO's digital signal and I live in NE Norman. ..unfortunately I can receive all the "christian" content from KTBO and KPAX without problem. It is disturbing that a religion has a monopoly of the digital air ways in the metro. As far as digital being "better", there are caveats as to the content and consistency of the signal quality. As long as the weather or no one is operating anything that produces even a weak radio signal in the immediate vicinity it is okay. Otherwise there is going to be allot of people who use antenna's who are going to be less then happy in February of 09.

Thank the Lord. KOCO is the only station i have problems with here in stillwater. All the other digital OKC channels come in just fine. I can even pick up the digital signals from kjrh and kotv from tulsa(With a top of line indoor antenna at that) but koco barely comes in. Loved to know the new height and if it will help the signal in stillwater. Im begging the FCC to approve this.
