The new set they built about a year ago looks like it was created for HD broadcasts and they've got "News9HD" (or something like that) on the side of their helicopter, but they haven't done any local broadcasting in HD as far as I know. I've been wondering for a while if that's their intention but they just haven't announced it. I wonder if KWTV (CBS affiliate) in OKC will start doing its local evening news in HD on that same date or sometime this fall?
