Cox has added Versus HD (716) and AMC HD (795) this week to their line up. Other HD channels like SPEED HD (728), FX HD (753), Cartoon Network HD (774) and FOX News HD (789) will launch on December 31st. Comedy Central HD is labeled as “come soon.” This is great news more HD channels is a good thing.

Thursday 11 December 2008 updated list of new channels coming on 31 December now reads:
Ch 728 Speed HD
Ch 753 FX HD
Ch 755 Comedy Central HD
Ch 767 E ! HD
Ch 774 Cartoon Network HD
Ch 789 Fox News Channel HD
On Monday 15 December, the Cox website amends its listing of new HD channels coming on 31 December to say that Ch 755 Comedy Central HD will be now be coming on January 6th. Didn’t say of which year though.
All the new HD Channels scheduled to be active as of 31 December showed up on Tuesday 23 December.
ok my TV life is complete, I have SpeedHD and SciFi HD….now if Cox will just let me turn off all the standard def dreck and save myself some money I’ll be completely satisfied.
I happened to be home today Jan. 22 here in Tulsa and I noticed something was going on. It made me think that today is the day for Comedy Central and thanks to this website I knew the channel number. I tuned it in and sure enough it was there. Comedy Central is not a channel I am used to watching because I mostly just watch HD only, but I will have to check it out. I am very happy with Cox and their delivery of HD. Thank you Cox. They are a great provider for my needs.
