KOKH problems gone in western Oklahoma
KOMI-DT, Woodward ion station, has moved their signal to UHF channel 34. They had been operating on channel 24, which prevented KOKH’s signal from reaching into western and northwestern Oklahoma. This move has alleviated reception problems out here and now KOKH is coming in just fine.

ggore,
A note to you next thread down about Lawton cable, KWTV-DT and KETA-DT, in case you missed it.
Comments?
I’m a bit surprised about your problems with KETA and KWTV when Lawton has virtually no problems.
Could Lawton’s antenna height be a key?
Good about KOKH. I used to live in Elk City before the Sayre translators. OKC stations were microwaved from Woodward to Elk City.
Sentinel had a very high tower. It’s gone now because Sentinel gets Sayre translators on a much shorter tower on State Highway 44. At least the last time I checked.
I remember when Granite cable got independents 11 and 39 from Fort Worth-Dallas. The Granite people went coocoo. Lawton Cablevision was already carrying 11 and 39.
I really like my Time Warner all digital cable. We’re loaded with HD.
Correction: Woodward above should read Weatherford.
I saw the comment in the post below. All I know is that the UHF signals of KWET and KWTV were rock-solid, and since both switched to VHF, KWET doesn’t come in at all and KWTV is only receivable about 60% of the time. Our tower is 270′ on top of a ground elevation of 1980′. We switched to KWET Cheyenne 8 for our DTV feed of OETA, it’s working well. The translator 3 miles north of Taloga puts out 4, 9, 25, 34, and 43, but only converted analog. They have no plans at present to send out digital signals.
Looks like every time a rain drop falls 25 & 34 drops out of HD to SD for weather maps crap. Get real and buy some up to date gear!!!!!!!!!!!!
