KWTV UHF 39 Maintenance

KWTV, Oklahoma City UHF Channel 39 will be performing planned maintenance from approximately 12:00 AM until 04:00 AM on Wednesday, January 6. If we finish the work early we will sign back on at that time. This maintenance will allow us to relocate our fiber feed at the transmitter location.

ones gotta go. Its too expensive to run the uhf let alone run the vhf at the same time. their electric bill has to be ridiculous. no wonder they havent gone hd yet. all the maintenance on the towers, fcc meetings geesh. VHF should go its god awful.

I just got word from KWTV that they will be turning off their channel 9 signal sometime in the near future and will only operate on UHF channel 39 after that date. The FCC has granted them a permit to double the signal power and are in the process of installing another transmitter cabinet for that increase. Soon as I get word on the date I will post it on here.
