Instead they switch to letterboxed sd at that time. I watched some of the Masterpiece Theater shows in HD off the PBS hd national feed last year before OETA started all thier multicasting. I try to watch some things of the PBS hd satellite feed with my FTA receiver Waimea on "OETA Miss Marple in HD?" http://www.hdtvok.com/forums/topic/oeta-miss-marple-in-hd#post-411 Sun, 15 Jul 2007 16:00:14 +0000 Waimea 411@http://www.hdtvok.com/forums/ Hi, OETA continues to disappoint: Miss Marple Series III premiered on "Mystery!" tonight, but in SD at some kind of quasi-16x9 resolution (it wasn't quite 16x9). OETA definitely delivered with the program that aired immediately prior to "Mystery!": Nature's "Kalahari" was spectacular. Last year I hoped that, after enjoying Miss Marple Series II, that this year they might shoot it in HD, or that OETA would broadcast it in HD, but tonight's was in SD, and I can't find any information about how it was actually shot. Was it filmed in SD, or did OETA drop the ball and broadcast it in SD for some reason? It's a shame that the program is in SD: the new Miss Marple series is throughly excellent. It would have to be, for me to bother watching it in SD. Actually, I can't recall a single "Masterpiece Theater" or "Mystery" that was broadcast in HD. hdtver on "The DirectV install from Hell" http://www.hdtvok.com/forums/topic/the-directv-install-from-hell#post-410 Sun, 15 Jul 2007 06:47:04 +0000 hdtver 410@http://www.hdtvok.com/forums/ The Chicken Fried News section of last Wednesday's Oklahoma Gazette's story "Technical Difficulties" tells the weird experience of a couple in Savage, Minn. whose installation experience included the Tulsa, OK service desk attendants calling the local Minn. police who arrived at the scene, called out the technicians and forced the customers to the ground and put on the handcuffs. The situation was triggered by a misunderstood telephone conversation between the technicians and the Tulsa emergency dispatchers. The Tulsa dispatchers thought the installers were being held prisoners. The install was taking much longer than expected and the Mrs. had actually baked cookies for the technicians. How weird is that? Pretty intense customer service training. http://www.okgazette.com/p/12733/a/674/Default.aspx?ReturnUrl=LwBEAGUAZgBhAHUAbAB0AC4AYQBzAHAAeAAslashAHAAPQAxADIANwAzADMA
