Putting HDTV on the map in Oklahoma

   Is this show in HD or not?

   ABC says it is, the program guide (DirecTV) says it is, but the clips on ABC.com seem to be 4:3, and KOCO-DT has shown all 3 episodes to date in standard-def.

   I iz confoozed.

   It's pretty much your standard reality show with dumb people doing dumb things, but the dumb things this time are the normal games on Japan's craziest game show. It's very colorful and shows a lot of Japan in the rewards and punishments, though, so I'd love to see it in high-def if that's the way it's supposed to be.

   I just can't tell.

   I notice that tonight, on the 2-hour season finale, it's suddenly actually in HD. Still don't know if it was ABC or KOCO-DT that wasn't broadcasting it in HD before.

   It looks much better. It's still insane, but it's sharper insanity.
