Putting HDTV on the map in Oklahoma

   Has anyone noticed problems with the HD feed of ABC programming on KOCO?

   I first noticed it a few weeks ago during the show FlashForward. The HD image seems to stutter and briefly flash a negative of the image on the screen. At first I thought this might be something the show FlashForward was doing intentionally, since it is a Science Fiction show.

   However, I later noticed the stuttering on a college football broadcast and on another TV show, so I am now wondering if this is a problem with ABC's feed, KOCO's broadcast, or Cox's retransmission.

   Has anyone else noticed this?

   FWIW I noticed that when I was watching a recorded week old or so "Flash Foward" program last evening. It was also apparent on a "Law & Order SVU" recording to a less extent.

   I watched FlashForward live last night and didn't notice that problem. Since the signal is unreliable, I record the few things I record from ABC on both my Dish 211K and my Mac-based EyeTV device.

   I kind of remember something like that briefly, but haven't noticed it recently. I'm looking at Nightline now and they do something like that, but I'm not sure it's a problem with the feed so much as a special effect.

   The wife noticed it last night watching Desperate Housewives.

   A friend in Tulsa checked his recording of FlashForward, but it was not there, so it seems to be OKC specific -- either KOCO or Cox OKC's retransmit.
