I have read on several web sites stating that using component video will provide a better HD picture than the HDMI connection. There must be a problem HDMI connection, hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade to fix this soon. Has anyone bought a Blu-Ray player?

So your actually able to get the HD picture through component? I thought from what the articles had read that it only worked with the HDMI? Well I may have to think about getting one then.

Yes you can get HD through component video however the movie studios can produce discs with a flag turned on that would downrez all analog outputs including component video. At the time no movie studios have turned on this flag yet.
