Everytime it snows here all the stations put up the closings listings for schools and such, though KFOR’s is by far the worst, framing the whole image and looking like shit. Beyond that they refuse to take it it off of their primetime HD programming. I was excited to see tonights episode of the office until I realized that because of the snow and KFOR’s complete lack of sense that the show will not be broadcast in hd, but instead in 3/4 awful looking SD in widescreen.

Anyone know any way to get in contact with these people to hopefully talk some sense into them?

I just turned to nbc and noticed that they took the storm maps off, unfortunately they forgot to pass the signal through so it’s still letterboxed sd signal.

Anyone else want to help me set fire to KFOR? =p

Thankfully, halfway through Earl, they realized that they were still broadcasting in SD, and flipped the switch.

But if they hadn’t switched in time for The Office, I’d be gathering torches right there with you. . .

Why can’t KFOR and others simply broadcast the weather info on the sub channels and leave the main digital feed alone?
