Anyone know when Cox with add the digital/HD version of KSBI? I sent an email to KSBI asking this and they responsed they had offered to Cox but Cox had not replied.

KSBI has Raycom broadcasts of SEC football/basketball games that are in HD this year. The analog signal on Cox channel 9 is terrible. Just hoping for improvement.

Maybe I’ll go OTA for KSBI like I used to do for Fox.

It’s possible I’ve missed a broadcast or two, but I have not yet seen anything in HD on KSBI-DT since they stopped carrying HDNet over the air. Specifically, I’ve tuned in for a few moments of several Thunder games (including one at home) and the Georgia’s SEC game last weekend. I also some a little of Heritage Hall’s high school football game on Friday.

I meant that Raycom is broadcasting in HD. Don’t know if KSBI is rebroadcasting in HD. Being originally from Kentucky, I am just glad to get to watch some SEC football and basketball.

I do find it odd that Cox does not have an HD channel for KSBI but it does for all the other locals.

Cox had better get on the ball. KSBI-DT is showing the OKC Thunder basketball game in HD next week.

I think KSBI is going to have to more HD content to push Cox to add them to their HD lineup. One thing they need to get is get some HD syndication programming if available. They have the local syndication rights to Lost so if they could broadcast it in HD I think that is a step in right direction but that kind of investment is very expensive.

Tonight’s pre-season game against the Lakers is being broadcast in HD right now on KSBI. If you’ve got an antenna, be sure to fire it up to watch this one.

mscott – The Lakers/Thunder pre-season game was on ESPN.

I watched the last half of that game on ESPN. Didn’t think to check out the local channel.

This could be really good for KSBI if they get their act together. They’re already carrying episodes of “Lost” and following that is “American Chopper.” Both of those shows are on in HD. It would also be totally cool if they carried some of their high school games in HD.

I turned on ESPN at 9:30 and saw Washington was playing… so I thought it was blacked out here and just watched it on KSBI. Regardless of its status on ESPN, it’s just nice to see KSBI broadcasting these games in HD.
