Hallmark Channel HD will be on Channel 769 in OKC and most likely Tulsa.
Epix HD will be located on Channel 798 and Epix will be on Channel 211 as part of the Cox Advanced TV Movie Pak.

As has been the rule of late, this information is located on the March billing cycle statements under “News from Cox.”

This interesting news is from the Cox Digital Town Hall survey of 03 March:

Coming this Spring to Cox digital cable subscribers:

Vutopia, an ON DEMAND movie collection of up to 200 full length library each month. This service will not be available on satellite. Up to half of the Vutopia movies will also be available in HD for HD subscribers. Each month, up to 100 movies will be refreshed with new premiering every Thursday.

In addition, subscribers to the movie package will have the ability to stream Epix and Vutopia movies to their computers from anywhere at any time for no additional charge.

TVPredictions.com has been covering Epix’s roll out.
http://www.multichannel.com/article/443579-Epix_Gains_Multiplatform_Carriage_On_Cox_In_April.php?rssid=20062

Epix has been described as a premium movie channel that uses multi-platforms. Cox lists it as assigned to Channels 211 and 769. Apparently it will also be available On Demand. We will find out for sure come March 15. Epix is a joint venture of Viacom, Paramount, Lion’s Gate and MGM. That’s all I know about it at this point.

The information on Vutopia and video streaming to computers suggests those features are apparently coming sometime during the Spring. I am pretty sure Cox will be running TV ads about that development when it is ready to be rolled out.

Yeah I had never heard of Epix before, but I’m with UVerse right now.

Well, March 15 is history now and Cox was silent on Epix rollout. This is not the first time new HD channels rolled out later than first announced. I did get out the monthly statement and re-read the paragraph about what was supposed to happen on March 15. It still reads to me like Epix was expected on that date but I had misread the bit about the Hallmark Channel HD. That one is “coming soon to Channel 769.”

Cox did make a big deal about moving SD KFOR from their channel 3 to 4. I received a robo call about it the night before and an email about that change of channel location. I am sure everyone else who uses Cox received the same announcements. The other two SD channel swaps also happened on the 15th (Cox Channel to Ch 3 and TV Guide to Ch 2) but the email said the Cox Channel and the KFOR swaps would happen on the 22nd.

Probably just a typo but I plan on checking to the 22nd to see if Epix shows up. Otherwise I am guessing Epix and Vutopia will show up sometimes between now and the official end of Spring (of this year hopefully). From what I read so far on these two, Cox should really be tooting their own horn when the rollouts actually happen in Oklahoma.

From this April is when EPIX will show up on Cox…

According to another person on the BBR Cox forum 1 April is the date. Apparently he got that from Facebook.

On 1 April Epix and Epix HD appeared as predicted by Sonner Al. They are also on Channel 1 ON Demand. Hallmark HD also showed up.

Found Vutopia listed under “On Demand Subscription” here:
http://ww2.cox.com/residential/oklahomacity/tv/channel-lineup.cox

During a conversation this afternoon with a Cox employee after a weird power surge knocked Cox off line on all services for a while in my part of the city and I had everything working again except for the HD DVR converter, I learned that the Vutopia rollout in Oklahoma was planned for 1 April but the OKCity system encountered an unexpected problem and so the rollout is delayed in OKCity for a while. Apparently Tulsa’s rollout occurred without a hitch.

Can anyone in Tulsa area confirm this?

Vutopia is now live in the OKC market in the top level of the main On Demand menu.

Is anyone in the Cox OKC market actually able to view a movie on Vutopia HD in the On Demand menu? I get a message saying I need to subscribe to this premium service. When I called Cox about it the CSR told me only the Tulsa market is getting Vutopia in HD and SD. She said she had an email saying that OKC is only getting Vutopia in SD.

FWIW Vutopia HD On Demand is now available in the OKC market.

Case closed…
