I am new to the whole HD thing. My wife and I got and HD TV back in november but havent acutally doing anything in HD. I bought and indoor RCA ANT525 antenna tonight and hooked it up. I guess the antenna picks up some signal for like 5 or 5 channels, but says on the screen no signal. I guess that I hooked it up right. I plugged the power adapter into the power strip and the coax cable into the HD UHF Antenna jack on the TV. Why would the antenna know station ID’s but not get a picture? Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss something? I live in Clinton West of OKC about 70 miles. It is kind of down in a valley. Will that matter? Is there a special way to tune this thing? Help please.

I hooked up the antenna and did the whole air scan thing and it didnt come back with anything. Maybe we just cant get HD out here.

You won’t get anything at that distance with an indoor antenna. you will need a good outdoor antenna.

Many TVs have an auto configuration mode that you can use to search for available channels. Have you read the owners manual for your TV to see if you need to do that?

If you want to try an outdoor antenna I suggest going to this site to help choose the right one. Its based on the input you provide…

Also, if an antenna (either indoor or outdoor) does not work for you then your other options are cable or satellite TV. Do you have cable TV where you live? If so what provider and do they offer HD programming?

Otherwise here are the links to satellite TV providers…
