Is there *any* reason that KFOR-DT broadcast the entire Oct 21 telecast of “Saturday Night Live” in letterboxed, 4:3 standard definition?
Any reason, that is, that does not involve the words “typical” and “goobers?”

The Notre Dame game earlier in the afternoon wasn’t in HD, either. I guess they’re either having technical issues, or they forgot to flip the switch. Again.
And this, coupled with their decision to pre-empt Earl and The Office in favor of the Mary Fallin/Other Guy debate on Thursday night, really leaves me sour at KFOR lately.
I think we should start *expecting* to see their programming in SD from now on. That way, it’ll be a pleasant surprise whenever they actually get it right and show something in HD.

NBC’s sports HD is not the best but the Notre Dame game was in HD and looked pretty good in Tulsa.

Unfortunately, I’m starting to “expect” only SD programming.
It is annoying when everything I’ve been wanting to watch since Wednesday, The Office, SNL (recorded), and the NASCAR race has been ruled out because of these “issues.”
I hope it is an actual technical issue rather than an operator error.
I guess I will have to expect to watch Heroes initially in SD…

the race is not showing up on cox or OTA in OKC, but is in high def on Directtv NBC east coast feed.
