Oklahoma City Digital Stations Now on DirecTV

DirecTV Adds 3 Tulsa local HD Channels

DirecTV today added KJRH, KTUL, and KOKI to its local HD line up. You will need an MPEG4 capable reciever and a DirecTV Ku/Ka dish in order to receive the Tulsa local HD channels.

Women’s Sweet 16

In response to Sooner Al’s query, ESPN2HD will be carrying the OU women’s basketball game against Mississippi in HD at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2007. In fact, all the upcoming women’s NCAA championship basketball games starting on Saturday, March 24, 2007, should be HD.

DIRECTV Says Rocket Blast Won’t Impact HDTV Plans

A couple of people sent this in: The satcaster is planning two satellite launches this year to expand its high-def lineup. The first one, a ground launch, should not be affected by the explosion. The DirecTV MPEG-4 HR20-700 HD DVR has been released in the Los Angeles markey only. I don’t know when we will be able to get but here is a link to a review.

Food HD is on!, no date for INHD yet

SatelliteGuys.US is reporting that Food HD is on channel 9462 on Dish Network. Supposedly, it is part of the Dish’s Bronze HD package, which is nearly a good enough deal for me to order a new receiver.

DirecTV to Release HD DVR in August

According to TVWeek, Directv is releasing its MPEG4 HD-DVR in mid-August. The first market the box will be released is L.A. then it will be released in other markets in subsequent weeks.
