Cox OKC has added MLB HD on 725. This brings the number Cox OKC HD channels to 52 (excluding 4 premiums). Can any Cox insiders give a clue as to what new HD channels we might see (and when)? If I had a vote, it would be for WGN HD (I’m biased though, as a Chicago to OKC transplant.) What channels would everyone else vote for?

There are several good HD channels missing from Cox’s lineup. I would like to see the following:

    HDNet Movies
    Smithsonian HD
    MGM HD
    ESPNews HD
    Fox Business Network HD
    Encore HD
    Disney HD
    Toon Disney HD
    Bio HD

I have called repeatedly about adding HDNet and HDNet Movies and they all act like they have never even heard of this network, CRAZY! They didn’t even know that they had temporarily picked up HDNet to broadcast one of the shuttle launches. I have little faith in Cox at this point, they show a lot of HD fluff but leave out the good stuff.

IMHO Cox made some big strides in their HD service during the past year. Do they have every HD channel I want? Not even close. But they have added a significant number of HD channels in last 14 months, so they’re making progress.

If Cox adds another 20 non-premium HD channels to their line-up in 2009, they’ll be doing alright in my book!

From what I can tell, MLB HD doesn’t show much in HD.
